Maritime Pageant

Artemis outward bound from London

I’ve been in the Thames area recently and fortunately was able to see various ships that attended the Diamond Jublilee Pageant. The first two images were made off Sheerness. The masts sticking out of the water belong to the Richard Montgomery, a Liberty Ship packed full of explosives which grounded in 1944. Much of the explosives still remain onboard.
