Winter Trees – Binsey

Winter is coming! Trees that I’ve passed many times on my way up to the fell Binsey. These photos were made last winter. The trees have always stood firm against the gales that whistle across the exposed landscape. A couple of us were blown right off our feet on one occasion, forcing us to abandon our walk and find shelter!

I did not initially see it but a crow’s feather is sticking out of the snow 45 degrees down from the left hand tree. On a 10 x 15 inch print it stands out. A nice surprise and I think it adds something to the image.

    • Thanks for your support Karen, it really is appreciated. Will be heading to this location again this winter. There’s a copse close by which I’m hoping to photograph too, once the snow appears!
