Whitehaven Piers

A very low tide allowed me to get up close to both the north and west piers. I’ve recently bought a 16-35 f/4 lens and this was a good opportunity to test it out. Both of these images were shot with a Nikon digital SLR. I also like to use an old 1968 Hasselblad 500C at this location, the photos can be seen in a previous post.

    • Hi Christian, thank you. I had spent most of the day in the Lake District but it was too hazy so headed to the coast. Been a while since I’ve done some digital long exposure photos.

    • Thanks for taking a look and your kind comment, Adrian. Been some time since I’ve shot digital long exposure photos. The trip to Whitehaven was unplanned, fortunately the low tide allowed me to get up close to the piers.

    • Thank you for commenting, I’m pleased you think the photos convey a sense of serenity. That’s how the scene appeared to me so I’m glad this has shown through in the photos.
